Great Beginnings is dedicated to the physical, cognitive and social development of the child.  We provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment, that will help children develop the foundational habits, attitudes, skills and ideas which are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning, social integration, and emotional well-being.

Great Beginnings is a child-centered community.  Children learn from others and help others learn in our multi-aged classrooms.  They learn social interaction and courtesy, responsibility for caring for their environment, and develop awareness of the rights and needs of the other people in the classroom.  The school is a thriving community where children are treated with respect and dignity and learn to treat others in the same way.  Each child works and develops at their own individual pace.  The carefully planned environment is designed to facilitate maximum independence in learning and exploration for the child.  There are a wide variety of activities available for the child to select with ample opportunities for physical movement through individual lessons, small group and large group activities.

We are a Full Member School of the American Montessori Society, and our teachers are all certified, degreed professionals.  Our process for admissions is as follows:

1. 
After reviewing our school information, an application form may be filled out and mailed to Great Beginnings Montessori School. 5860 Springhill Lane, Bozeman, MT 59715

2. 
We will contact you about scheduling a visit to the school.  We ask that you arrange to come without your children so you can have focused time to learn about our program.

3. 
Once we have received your child's application s/he will be placed on our waiting list.  The admissions coordinator will notify families of acceptance and when openings become available.

4.  Once your application has been processed and your child is accepted into our program (we have an opening) a one time non-refundable application fee of $50.00 will be required.
